I know what you are thinking. But one man cannot hold the copyright on the toothbrush moustache forever. It is time to bring this much-maligned little styling trend back to the masses, ideally into the hands of comedians, who frankly wore it first and wore it best.
This is another fun experiment in how much of a face can be governed by one tiny patch of real estate beneath the nose. Cover that little square and the whole man softens. Paint it back in and suddenly he is auditioning for villain of the month. It is astonishing that a smudge the size of a postage stamp gets to decide whether a face reads as a kindly uncle or a strict hall monitor.
For what it is worth, I think this fellow is perfectly lovely once you get past the eyebrows. He just commits very, very hard to the look.
